New Talent 2011

The new talent competition was held at the Kai on the 7th of May and eight designers took part. Below are some before and after shots of the members and their trees. Thank you to Jaco Kriek for the photos.

New Talent 2005

Well done to Hannes Fritz, Neels van Zyl and Johan Els who represented the Kai at these competitions in 2005.

Congratulations to Hannes who won both the competitions. 

He was also crowned as South Africa's young designer at the 2006 convention in Cape Town. WELL DONE!!!!!!

New Talent 2007

Neels receives the New Talent 2007 trophy from the SABA president Duncan Wiles.

This is the type of material competitors get to start off with. An 'after' photograph displays the result after Neels has finished with the tree, a the reason why he’s the new talent for 2007.
